Numismatic exhibition

Located in the architectural monument of the nineteenth century, the Sheynerberg House. Numismatic exhibition – opened December 4, 1997 in the premises of the reserve of the reserve – an architectural monument of local significance of the nineteenth century. – The Sheinerberg House.

More than 5 thousand items of the State Museum Foundation – collections of coins, paper money, coin treasures, state awards and departmental awards, salaries to famous jewelers of the 18th-19th centuries – are exhibited at the exhibition.

Significant interest is the coins and coins and coins of the seventeenth century, which reflect not only the history of economy and trade, but also the history of individuals.

Among the most interesting items of the exhibition are commemorative and jubilee coins of Ukraine, extremely rare coins of Russia. ХVІІІ centuries (in particular, 2 rubles in gold in 1725, 5 rubles in 1765, coins for Georgia in the beginning of the 19th century), modern state awards of Ukraine. It is constantly replenished with honors from ministries and departments of Ukraine.

The exhibition was created with the support of public and private structures. Since 1998, according to the order of the then head of the National Bank of Ukraine, V. Yushchenko, all the samples of commemorative coins of Ukraine come to the permanent numismatic exhibition of the Ostroh historical and cultural reserve. In turn, the department of numismatics of the reserve cooperates with the National Bank of Ukraine and its Banknote and Mint in the development of jubilee and commemorative coins.

More than 15 thousand tourists visit the exhibition each year, the main number of which are students of the National University of Ostroh Academy, with which the reserve closely cooperates.
